For a class assignment we were looking at internet censorship. We were given four items to look up.
1. Uss Yorktown nt
2. Google china censorship
3. Tiananmen Square
4. Taiwan independence
Here are my findings using Google.com, Bing.com, and baidu.com.
Uss Yorktown nt:
In Google it listed Windows NT Crashes ship almost in every like there was the word Windows! In Bing it listed a operating system shut down the ship and in baidu it listed it as a Nave ship! I find it funny that Bing did not list that it was windows NT that the ship was being operating by. But then agene Bing is operated by Microsoft!
Google china censorship:
Google and Bing searchs results show that Google does not want china to censor its content. But in baidu.com it make it sound as that google does not want to be in china.
Tiananmen Square:
On Google and Bing you find info about the 1989 protest there are photos and video clips as well. On baidu.com there is nothing about the protest of 1989.
Taiwan independence:
All the search engines were pretty much the same on this issue.
